Happy Birthday Acadia After Dark!

One year ago we began this journey into the dark woods of Maine.

It was one year ago that I launched the Acadia After Dark social media accounts and began the process of creating the podcast. In those early days I had only really planned on researching a few local stories I knew about. That ended up being the tip of an iceberg which seems to go on endlessly into the murky cold depths. Maine's history and folklore is like an onion, for every layer you peel back you find another and it was with this understanding I decided to start reaching out to people who had perhaps peeled back a few more layers of their respective "onion" and discovered new truths or even more hidden mysteries.

Along the way I have met many remarkable, interesting and passionate people from all across the state who all share one thing in common. They seek to understand and relate to the world around them even when it is at odds with our current view. I have gotten to talk to experts in various fields, witnesses to unexplained phenomena, authors who have documented decades or even centuries of reports and all the while I have only been reaffirmed time and time again that there is a vast unseen universe around us we can barely conceive of.

That may be a subject for another day.

Right now I want to celebrate how far the show has come and the people who helped to make it what it is by reliving some of the most memorable and chilling moments from the last year. I put together a compilation of highlights from the year that I hope you will all enjoy.

As the show has grown and changed over time I'm sure there will plenty of new stories being and new ways of telling them and I look forward to sharing all of that with you. The next year of the show promises to be bigger and better. To everyone who has supported me and the podcast, whether it be by interacting on social media or watching/listening to the show each week, I want to thank you for making this journey amazing. Keep those lanterns lit and stay safe out there. We'll talk soon...
