New Theme Music by Pine Tree Riot

Hey there hikers,

It's been a crazy couple months. I've been busy making upgrades to the website and working on new stuff for the channel. Some of you who follow me on Threads probably remember that I mentioned changing up the music on the channel and as is part of my promise I was dead set on finding a Maine band to spotlight. Having been around the Maine music scene for some time I had a lot of bands that I had to consider but one stood out as being more representative of what I was going for than all the rest. I decided to take a shot and reach out to my friend Brent of Pine Tree Riot and asked him if he would be alright with me using one of his songs on my podcast?

He was quick to respond enthusiastically saying that I could have any song and to just name it. At first I had my heart set on a personal favorite of their catalogue by the name "No Escape" which has several elements which I felt would suit the channels vibe. Before I could square away getting a digital version to use Brent reached out asking for the name of the podcast so he could check it out.

I sent him a link to one of the most recent episodes and not much later he messaged me back saying he loved the show and even went a step further by offering to create an original piece for the show! I was ecstatic and told him to work his magic as he saw fit. After this I set to work with writing what will be Season 2.

Well, here we are and we are approaching the beginning of the new season and I am finally able to share with you the new theme song for Acadia After Dark.

Before I link the new song I want to give credit to an important contributor to the channel as it has been so far and thank Billy Lever for writing the original them for me. It will still be prominently featured on the channel because it has a special place here with us and I wish to honor every artist who helps us along the way in whatever ways I can.

Brent and Pine Tree Riot are one of my favorite folk punk bands and quite possibly one of the best artists to ever come out of Maine in my opinion. I will provide a link to find them on Facebook and I hope you will check out their music because I think it is absolutely fantastic.
